<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and easily manufacturable squeeze film damper bearing having excellent mass production property and to provide a damping mechanism of a roller bearing effective for loads both in radial and thrust directions. <P>SOLUTION: This rolling bearing vibration damping mechanism 1 is constituted in such a way that it has a storage hole 16 having larger diameter than diameter of the outer periphery 14 of the bearing and an oil feeding hole 19 for feeding oil into the storage hole on an inner side of a housing 15, the bearing is inserted into the storage hole to form an annular clearance 18 at the outer periphery of the bearing, and a thin and flat plate 17 provided with a plurality of slits is inserted into the annular clearance along the circumferential direction. A part of the thin and flat plate nipped by the slits forms an elastic beam to support the bearing at a central position elastically, and vibration is damped by squeeze film action by an oil film generated by feeding oil into the annular clearance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
