<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float type disc brake capable of suppressing an inclination angle of a slide pin for a guide hole by reducing a clearance between the slide pin and the guide hole and thereby improving traveling property of a pad in the axial direction of a rotor in non-braking. <P>SOLUTION: This float type disc brake 1 is provided with mounting 2, a caliper 3, and the slide pin 4 and is slidably mounted in the guide hole 22 provided in the mounting 2 while one end part 4a of the slide pin 4 is fixed to the caliper 4 and the other end part 4b of the slide pin 4 passes through a cylindrical pin boot 5. Each of both end parts of the pin boot 5 is attached to boot mounting parts 23, 34 formed in each of the mounting 2 and the caliper 3.
