PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of improving reliability of electric connection by regulating backlash of a female connector housed in a terminal housing chamber and restraining abrasion generated by sliding movement or the like at a contact part of both terminals. SOLUTION: The connector is composed of a connector housing 2 having the terminal housing chamber 3, and a female terminal 40 housed in the terminal housing chamber 3. and maintains the female terminal 40 in a state of being housed in the terminal housing chamber 3 by locking the female terminal 40 by a terminal locking lance 4 in the terminal housing chamber 3. One or two pushing parts contacting with a part of the female terminal 40, pushing the female terminal 40 toward a face in terminal insertion direction E and toward a face in a direction F perpendicularly crossing the terminal insertion direction E, are formed on a locking part 5 of the terminal locking lance 4. A front holder 12, to be pushed in a deflection space 6 at a back face side of the terminal locking lance 4, and making the terminal locking lance 4 deflect in the direction F perpendicularly crossing the front and back direction E is formed on a front wall 3e of the terminal housing chamber 3.
