<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cryogenic medium coupling device of simple and strong structure capable of operating all necessary connection with the only axial motion and capable of arranging all movable members inside thereof and strong against pollution. <P>SOLUTION: This coupling device for a pipeline having vacuum heat insulating structure for leading a cryogenic medium is provided with a connection plug and a corresponding connection socket. In the connecting condition, a pipeline terminal pipe on a connection plug side enters into the connection socket, riding over a separating surface, and one spherical rotary opening/closing plug is built in each of the connection plug and the connection socket, arranging adjacent to the separating surface. The connection plug S and the connection socket D have lock cylinders 7 and 8 capable of sliding in the axial direction for engagement with each other when connecting, and the lock cylinders 7 and 8 are connected to the attached spherical rotary opening/closing plugs 4 and 5 by slide pins 9 and 10. When sliding the lock cylinders 7 and 8, the spherical rotary opening/closing plugs 4 and 5 are turned by the slide pins between a closing position and an opening position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
