PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid polymer electrolyte film for a fuel cell, manufactured by a radiation graft polymerization method, capable of making a methanol swelling degree smaller than that of a conventional graft film while keeping high ion-conductivity.
SOLUTION: On the solid polymer electrolyte film for a fuel cell manufactured by applying a graft polymerization method to a radical reactive monomer after irradiating radioactive rays on a film made of a copolymer of a fluorine carbide based vinyl monomer and a hydrocarbon based vinyl monomer, a level of crystallization of the film made of the copolymer of the fluorine carbide based vinyl monomer and the hydrocarbon based vinyl monomer before irradiating the radioactive rays is 33% or higher. The solid polymer electrolyte film manufactured by the radiation graft has high ion-conductivity and small swelling against methanol, so that it is suitable for an electrolyte film for a direct methanol type fuel cell.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
