GLASS RUN CHANNEL AND ITS MOUNTING STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass run channel and its mounting structure capable of exhibiting a high sealing effect by closely surface-contacting with a recessed part in a press door of an automobile formed with the recessed part instead of an upper end swelled part of a door sash.

SOLUTION: In the glass run channel 10 mounted to the door sash 20 of the automobile door 1, a seal lip 12 clamping both inner and outer surfaces of a door glass is projectedly provided from both side walls of a body 11 having an approximately U shape cross section. A high foaming sponge 13 closely surface-contacted with the outdoor side surface of the door sash 20 is provided on an upper end at the indoor side of the body 11.
