PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable inhibiting warp formation of a platy blow molding article by coordinating cooling rate of both wall members 22 and 23 in a process of manufacturing a platy blow molding article 21, which houses a hidden rib 24 extending from one wall member 22 and being welded to the inside face of other wall member 23 at its tip. SOLUTION: A plurality of platy slide molds 27 are equipped serially with a predetermined interval allowing protrusion into a cavity, to one blow molding mold of a couple of blow molding molds placed opposite to each other. After pre-pinching a parison, the parison is made flabby by evacuating air inside it. Thereafter both molds are closed to pinch the parison, while the slide molds 27 are kept protruded. Then the slide molds are retreated and air is blown into the parison. Gradients widened toward end are formed on both ends A in length direction of the hidden rib 24, and arc sections C are formed along the way in length direction of the hidden rib 24.
