PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purification method of soil polluted with volatile organic compounds (VOC) by efficiently desorbing the VOC. SOLUTION: The volatile organic compounds (VOC) is desorbed to purify the soil polluted with the VOC by selectively crushing clay and silt in the soil as a pretreatment, then heating the pretreated polluted soil in a superheated steam atmosphere by superheated steam from a superheated steam generator 2 using a superheated steam treatment apparatus 1.
