<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent precision of predetermined natural language processing from being deteriorated even when an input sentence to be provided to the prescribed natural language processing is formed by using pasting of a character string. <P>SOLUTION: This character string input device is configured to select a character string in an electronic document, and to paste the character string to the input sentence of an input sentence storing means for forming an input sentence. In this case, when predetermined conditions are established, predetermined sentence division characters are added to the head and/or terminal of the character string to be pasted.
