PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a display function for an advertisement by forming a display body for the advertisement on a cleat and/or a riser forming the step of an escalator. SOLUTION: A seal on which a display 15 such as the advertisement formed of letters, graphics, symbols, or the combination thereof is printed is laterally divided to form small seal pieces 16, and the small seal pieces are stuck on both side wall surfaces 7a, 7b and 9a, 9b of the specified projected line parts 7 of the cleat 5 and/or the riser 6 of the escalator 1 or the side wall surfaces of either thereof to form a stick display body 17.
