<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary developing type image forming apparatus which controls the second conveying timing of paper in both sides printing without stopping a fixing roller. <P>SOLUTION: A detecting means 25 detecting the position of a toner image formed on an intermediate transfer belt 5 is provided in the vicinity of the intermediate transfer belt 5 in the rotary developing type image forming apparatus 1. After the conveying direction is switched by a switch back device 16 in both sides printing, the paper is conveyed again at a second speed by a control means 26 and the conveying speed of the paper is switched to the first speed according to the detection result of the detecting means 25. The first speed is the speed synchronized with the rotating speed of the intermediate transfer belt 5, and the second speed is the speed which is slower than the first speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
