<p>PURPOSE:To provide a letter generating system in which a quality similar to a letter quality before enlargement can be kept for an outline of a letter enlarged by a broken line expression method by performing a curved line interpolation along an arc decided by a correlation of a straight line subject to the interpolation and a nest straight line. CONSTITUTION:For a straight line composing a curved line part, control is transferred to a broken angle check part 54. The broken angle check part 54 reads a next straight line OZ to a straight line RO from an outline input buffer 51, and when it is the angle to be used for the curved line part, control is transferred to an outline correcting part 55. The outline correcting part 55 separates the straight line RO by an interpolation point Q, develops a corrected outline RQO, outputs the developed corrected outline to an outline output buffer 52, and control is transferred to a line length check part 53 to proceed to line length check for the next outline, that is the straight line OZ. A corrected outline close to a curved line of a designed letter curved line part can thus be determined passing through original plot points based on a design by taking relation with the next straight line for every straight line of the outline of the curved line part.</p> |
