PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auger type icemaker having a structure that does not damage waterproofness between a freezing casing and a base for supporting an auger and can facilitate attaching or detaching of the freezing casing from the base. SOLUTION: The cylindrical freezing casing 2 having an opening 11 at its bottom end has inclined sections 21a and 21b that extend from the center of a plurality of holes toward the attaching/detaching direction from at least the base of the freezing casing around the inner peripheral surface 2a side of the freezing casing 2 of the plurality of holes 12 for bolts arranged circumferentially at an appropriate interval to insert the bolts for fixing the freezing casing to the base. When the freezing casing is attached to and detached from the base, the inclined sections abut on a seal member of the base, and the freezing casing is guided smoothly along the inclined sections. Therefore, the seal member is not meshed into the hole and is not damaged by shearing, and the waterproofness is not damaged. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
