PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an outflow of dust from an opening without hindering passage of a means carrying-in/out of raw material, in a dust collecting hood disposed in an aluminum melting furnace. SOLUTION: A hood body 4 embracing a nearly entire circumference of the aluminum melting furnace 1, and having the opening 3 allowing the passage of the raw material carrying-in/out means carrying the raw material into/out of the aluminum melting furnace has a ceiling part 5 installed in the upper end of the hood body, collecting the dust inside the hood body, and connected to a dust collector, and the opening of the ceiling part has a door 6 openable/closable up-and-down.
