PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for automated equipment capable of achieving space-saving, safety and low cost. SOLUTION: An outer cover 12 of this safety device comprises an opening part for carrying in and out a material 15 to an operation source 11 part inside of the safety device, a cutoff valve 13 having an opening of the shape same as the opening part of the outer cover 12 on an inner side of the outer cover 12, a cutoff valve driving source 19 for driving the cutoff valve 13, an opening/closing detecting dog 20 fixed to the cutoff valve 13 for transmitting the positional information of the cutoff valve 13, and an opening/closing detecting sensor 21 mounted in a state of being kept into contact with a specific position of the opening/closing detecting dog 20 for detecting an opening state between the opening part of the cutoff valve 13 and the opening part of the outer cover 12, and the cutoff valve 13 and the cutoff valve driving source 19 are connected by a magnet 18 having magnetic force weaker than driving force of the cutoff valve driving source 19.
