<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water intrusion certainly at low cost without requiring any significant labor. <P>SOLUTION: The weather strip 1 of hollow structure is installed at the front door peripheral edge of a vehicle and contacts with edges of a body opening when the door is closed so as to prevent water intrusion into the vehicle, and formed with a die molded part 13 set at the front upper corner of the door peripheral edge and with the top and the bottom continued to extrusively molded parts 11 and 12, wherein the die molded part 13 is formed with waterproof ribs 66 and 67 formed inside and outside the bottom surface 61a contacting with the door peripheral surface and protruding toward the door peripheral surface, and these waterproof ribs 66 and 67 are continued to waterproof ribs 27, 28, 73 and 74 formed inside and outside the bottom surfaces 21a and 71a of the extrusively molded parts 11 and 12, and the bottom surface 61a of the die molded part 13 is formed with a thin and long water draining hole 69 located between the waterproof ribs 66 and 67 inside and outside and extending along the ribs 66 and 67 so as to be in communication with the internal space of the die molded part 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
