PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lubricant for forming a high adhesive lubricating layer which can prevent fly-stiction failure, corrosion failure, etc. even in extremely low flying height of 10 nm or less and can suppress migration even in high-speed rotation, especially for forming lubricating layer suitable for a load/unload system and a magnetic disk. SOLUTION: Perfluoro polyether lubricant including glycidol is refined and contents of glycidol is reduced. Refining of perfluoro polyether lubricant is performed by distillation. A magnetic disk 10 is obtained by depositing the obtained lubricant on a protective layer 4 of a magnetic disk formed to a carbon based protective layer 4 on a substrate 1, and forming the lubricating layer 5.
