PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the defect of a disk by increasing an operation frequency even during the double speed of a blueray disk, and to detect a defect of increasing reflectance. SOLUTION: A reproduction RF signal 151 is compared with a reference voltage 80 by a comparator circuit 4 during the recording of an optical disk to set an RF signal equal to/less than the reference voltage, and the signal of the erasing section of the disk recording time is latched from the RF signal equal to/less than the reference voltage by a latch circuit 7. Associatively, the reproduction section of the RF signal equal to/less than the reference voltage is established by a monomulti 5, NOR is taken between the output signal of the latch circuit 7 and the output signal 300 of the monomulti 5 and, by obtaining a disk defect signal 500, a disk defect is detected even during the double speed of a blueray disk by increasing an operation frequency, and a defect of increasing reflectance is also detected.
