<p>An electron emission device which increases the amount of electron emission without heightening the driving voltage for making the electron emission. The electron emission device includes a substrate (10), first electrodes (16) formed on the substrate, electron emission regions (18) electrically connected to the first electrodes (16), and second (12) and third (24) electrodes placed at planes different from the first electrodes. The second (12) and the third (24) electrodes receive the same voltage, and form the electric field for emitting electrons from the electron emission regions. Fourth electrodes (20) may be placed at substantially the same plane as the first electrodes, and receive the same voltage as the second and the third electrodes.</p> |
