AN INEXPENSIVE REFRIGERATING CYCLE APPARATUS WHICH MINIMIZES ADVERSE EFFECTS ON THE GLOBAL ENVIRONMENT, INCLUDING DAMAGE TO THE OZONE LAYER AND THE WARMING OF THE EARTH'S ATMOSPHERE AND WHICH IS CAPABLE OF RETAINING RELIABILITY EVEN WHEN IT USES A CHLORINE-FREE REFRIGERANT. THE REFRIGERATING CYCLE APPARATUS CAN BE ACHIEVED WITHOUT THE NEED OF A SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN THE DESIGN OF A CONVENTIONAL REFRIGERATING CYCLE APPARATUS. THE REFRIGERATING CYCLE APPARATUS ACCORDING TO THE PRESENT INVENTION EMPLOYS A CHLORINE-FREE MATERIAL AS THE REFRIGERANT AND USES A ROTARY COMPRESSOR (1) WHICH HAS A ROLLER (LOA, 20) AND A VANE (LOB, 21) INTEGRAL THEREWITH. THE ROTARY COMPRESSOR (1), A CONDENSER (2), A PRESSURE REDUCING MECHANISM (3), AN EVAPORATOR (4), ETC. ARE CONNECTED BY A PIPING (5) TO CONSTITUTE THE REFRIGERATING CYCLE APPARATUS.
