FIELD: polymer materials. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention, in particular, relates to a process of continuously drying cellulose ethers. Hot aqueous suspension of cellulose ethers is continuously dried by cooling and drying suspension. Initial suspension with 1 to 65% solids is fed into evaporation zone at ambient pressure 6000 hPa and suspension temperature between 20 and 100°C, evaporation zone being operated at pressure between 0.1 and 800 hPa, suspension cooling to 93°C, and removal of 2-5% water. Evaporation zone is equipped with mechanical stirrer. Mixture formed therein gets into lower part of zone to form dense gel-like product layer, which is further discharged with the aid of mechanical discharge device. Discharged material is dried in drying block to achieve maximum content of water 5%. Cooling is accomplished as instant process. Installation for implementation of the process comprises at least one evaporation apparatus having evaporation zone; feeding device made in the form of stirrer; suspension supply line; vapor discharge line; vacuum source connected to vapor discharge line; discharge device disposed in lower part of evaporation apparatus. Distinguishing feature of installation consists in that one or several supplying bladders with fit wings rotating at a distance at most 5 mm from discharge device inlet are provided in the lowest plane of feeding device. ^ EFFECT: improved cooling/drying of suspension, enabled cooling of product below coagulation point and achieved homogenizing of gel. ^ 24 cl, 2 dwg |
