Recombinant anti rabies antibodies MAb JB.1 and Mab 57 and compositions and methods for making and using the same

A rabies virus-neutralizing antibody comprises a heavy chain polypeptide having the sequence of SEQ ID NO:10 and a light chain polypeptide having the sequence of SEQ ID NO:12. Also described are nucleic acids having a nucleotide sequence encoding the SEQ ID NO:10 or 12, vectors and host cells comprising the cells. The antibody can be used in the preparation of a medicament for treating an individual exposed to a rabies virus.
