<p>Waste treatment and its disposal generally involves the steps of waste collection (usually by road or water going vehicles), transportation (usually by land and/or water) to a waste treatment site and chemical treatment. This conventional form of waste collection and treatment involves multiple transfers of the waste from container to container and multiple loading and unloading steps involving intermediate storage which is costly and may be unduly hazardous to those individuals involved in the process. These problems may be alleviated by the provision of a method of waste treatment comprising the steps of: supplying a transportable waste treatment facility to a location that generates waste; placing waste into the facility; treating the waste in the facility with one or more waste treatment materials; and transporting the facility to a final destination.</p> |
