<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mixed color light emission diode device and its manufacturing method by which an LED display can be inexpensively and easily manufactured. <P>SOLUTION: The mixed color light emission diode (LED) device (100) is manufactured by forming a pixel array (304) of LEDs (104 to 134) on a substrate (102), and disposing phosphors (136 to 158) on at least some of the LEDs (104 to 134). The phosphors (136 to 158) are selected to convert light radiated from the LEDs into one or plural different colors. The LEDs (104 to 134) are printed on the substrate (102) by the lithography.
