<p>A dielectric ceramic constituting a ceramic sintered article, which is represented by the general formula: 100(Ba<SUB>1-x-y</SUB>Sr<SUB>x</SUB>Ca<SUB>y</SUB>)<SUB>m</SUB>(Ti<SUB>1-z</SUB>Zr<SUB>z</SUB>)O<SUB>3</SUB> + aBaO + bR<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> + cMgO + dMnO + eCuO + fV<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>5</SUB> + gX<SUB>u</SUB>O<SUB>v </SUB>[where R represents a specific rare earth element such as La, Ce or Pr, and X<SUB>u</SUB>O<SUB>v </SUB>represents a group of oxides comprising Si], wherein 0 = x = 0.05, 0 = y = 0.08 (preferably 0.02 = y = 0.08), 0 = z = 0.05, 0.990 = m, 100.2 = (100m + a) = 102, 0.05 = b = 0.5, 0.05 = c =2, 0.05 = d = 1.3, 0.1 = e = 1.0, 0.02 = f = 0.15, and 0.2 = g = 2 are satisfied. The above dielectric ceramic can be used for providing a laminated ceramic capacitor which has a dielectric layer having a reduced thickness and exhibits good dielectric characteristics and temperature characteristics even when a voltage exhibiting a high electric field strength is applied thereto, is good in insulating property, the resistance to voltage and the high temperature load life, and is excellent in reliability.</p> |
