<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing fertilizer and feed from food waste capable of assuredly separating e.g. container packaging from food waste and using collected food waste to the full, and to provide a fertilizer and feed production system. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the fertilizer and feed from food waste comprises distinguishing the packaging form of food waste based on commercial information attached to each food waste and transporting the food waste to a container packaging separation device most suitably formed for the packaging form followed by separating the container packaging.
