PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a low-cost simple system having a plurality of image marking engines (IME) and exhibiting high productivity and high speed. SOLUTION: Horizontal forward transfer highways 62 and 66 serving as at least one horizontal forward medium communication transmission path are provided in an integrated-type printing system 10 having at least two IMEs 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, and 350 and at least one media feeder modules 22 and 24. The transfer highways 62 and 66 are transmission paths for horizontally transferring media from the media feeder modules 22 or 24 to the IMEs 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, or 350, and provided between the IMEs 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, and 350 and the media feeder modules 22 and 24.
