PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel optimizing an inner wheel pushing amount by caulking work, ensuring the stiffness and strength of a bearing itself, and ensuring desirable axial force and caulking part strength. SOLUTION: In the bearing device for the wheel in which an inner wheel 3 is pressed in a small diameter step part 2b of a hub wheel 2 and interposed between a caulking part 2c formed by elastically deforming outward the end part of a small diameter part in the diameter direction and a stepped part 11 formed in the hub wheel 2, and fixed to a hub wheel 3, the thickness e of a hitting part in the inner wheel 3 is set in a range of 0.05-0.20 to the inner diameter d of the inner wheel 3. The pressing-in amount of the inner wheel by caulking work is optimized, the stiffness and strength of the bearing itself are ensured, and thereby, the bearing device for the wheel ensuring desirable axial force and the strength of the caulking part can be provided.
