PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating method for regenerating waste of an inorganic material as cement having stable performance by heating the waste together with raw materials for cement production by using a kiln for producing cement without regulating components. SOLUTION: In the treating method of the waste of the inorganic material, comprising charging the waste of the inorganic material together with raw materials for cement production into the kiln for producing cement and heating the resulting mixture, so as to convert the waste into cement, the dimension of each piece of the waste is regulated so that the minimum value is≥1 mm, the maximum value is≤1/10 of the inner diameter of the kiln, and the shortest distance between any part at the inside of each piece of the waste and the surface of the piece becomes≤30 mm; the mass ratio of the waste to the total amount of the waste and the cement raw materials in a dried state is set to be within a range of 1-20%; a sintered body is obtained by charging the waste together with the raw materials for cement production into a kiln for producing cement from a back part of the kiln and heating the resulting mixture at 1,000-1,500°C for 20-60 min; and the obtained sintered body is pulverized.
