摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely position parts by detecting the length of an unstable section automatically even if a lead terminal is not rectangular and the tip section is in an unstable shape. <P>SOLUTION: Lead terminal sizes (A, B) are acquired by part data or by performing the image processing of parts, and the acquired sizes are referred to, thus detecting lead tip positions (C, D). When the detected lead tip positions are detected with deviation (D, E), they are changed to lead terminal sizes that are detected appropriately or are acquired again for positioning parts by referring to the lead terminal sizes that are changed or acquired again (F).
