PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite machine having an automatic backup function capable of automatically transferring images of a digital camera, E-mail data, E-mail addresses and telephone numbers and the like to the automatic composite machine and storing the transferred data including related-information, in the composite machine connected to a portable communication terminal with a camera. SOLUTION: The backup device has a first determining means for determining whether or not image data or E-mail data received by a receiving means is to be stored, a storage means for storing the image data or the E-mail data determined to be stored by the first determining means, a link information detecting means for detecting link information of the image data or the E-mail data stored in the storage means, and a control means for controlling the storage means to associate the image data with the E-mail data to store the associated data if the link information detecting means detects that the link information exists.
