PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid ice making failure caused by blocking-up of a suction pipe, by circulating ice making water between different ice making mechanisms, in an automatic ice maker having a plurality of ice making mechanisms. SOLUTION: This automatic ice maker has the plurality of ice making mechanisms 50 composed of an ice making part 12 provided with an evaporator 14 communicating with a refrigerating unit 30, an ice making water tank 16 for storing a predetermined quantity of ice making water, and a circulating pump 18 communicating with this ice making water tank 16 via a suction pipe 20 and supplying the ice making water to the ice making part 12. The automatic ice maker is provided with a communicating tube 34 composed of a communicating branch tube 36 respectively branching off from the suction pipes 20 of the respective ice making mechanisms 50 and a communicating main tube 38 for communicating and connecting the respective communicating branch tubes 36 extracted from the respective ice making mechanisms 50. When blocking up the suction pipe 20 of the ice making mechanisms 50, the ice making water stored in the ice making water tank 16 of the other ice making mechanism 50, is supplied to the ice making part 12 of the blocked-up ice making mechanism 50 via the communicating tube 34 by driving of the circulating pump 18 corresponding to this suction pipe 20.
