PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling method and a device using a slash refrigerant capable of attaining high efficiency cooling by cooling a cooling object at the low temperature and the constant temperature, and a superconducting current limiter. SOLUTION: In this superconducting current limiter 11, a high temperature superconductor 17 is arranged in a refrigerant stored in a heat insulating vessel 12, to soak and cool the high temperature superconductor 17. A refrigerant supply means 14 is arranged in the heat insulating vessel 12 for supplying the slash refrigerant of making the liquid content 20 and the solid content 21 mixedly exist. The refrigerant supply means 14 has a refrigerating means for cooling the liquid content and generating the solid content, an agitating means for atomizing a generated solid, and a force feed means for feeding the generated slash refrigerant to the heat insulating vessel.
