PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throwaway diaper having excellent absorbing performance and leakage preventing performance and improvable in wearing performance by reducing the width of a crotch part. SOLUTION: This throwaway diaper is provided with a diaper body and a pair of leakage preventive walls 6, 6. The pair of leakage preventive walls 6 have free ends 63 and fixed ends 64, respectively, and a space W between the fixed ends 64, 64 of both leakage preventive walls 6 is narrow at the crotch part A and wide at a stomach side part B and/or a back side part C located in front and in the rear of the crotch part. An elastic member 61 is disposed near the free end 63 of each leakage preventive wall 6 along the free end 63.
