A modular, prefabricated steel building that is impervious to small arms fire, erected on steel or concrete pile, easy to transport, rapidly deployable, reusable, and which can be integrated with each other in a modular fashion or individually deployed as a base camp for operation in a hostile environment and method for assembling a base camp comprising the modular buildings.
