PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of manufacturing an optical connector with a high quality optical fiber by optimizing the adhesive amount in filling an adhesive. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the optical connector with optical fiber, an end part of the optical fiber 3 is inserted into a ferrule 2 having a window part for adhesive filling and is set in the state that the end part of a naked optical fiber 15 is allowed to match with a connection end surface 16 of the ferrule, an uncured adhesive 17 is filled into the ferrule and, thereafter, is cured and the optical fiber is bonded and fixed to the ferrule. Therein, after filling the uncured adhesive into the ferrule from the window part, an adhesive removal agent is allowed to contact with the uncured adhesive through the window part, the excessive uncured adhesive is sucked and, thereafter, the uncured adhesive is cured.
