The press has a rotor (12) with a die disk (14) and guides (16, 18) for upper and lower punches (20, 22), a rotor shaft and an electric drive motor (42) with a runner (50) or a stand. The runner may be fixed directly on the rotor shaft, or may be fixed to it co-axially via a coupling. The runner may be flanged directly to the end of the rotor shaft.
