A vehicle seat (10) includes a cushion assembly (16), a back assembly (20), and a track assembly (Fig 1, 28) for supporting the cushion (16) and the back (20) in a vehicle. The cushion and back (16,20) being movable to a stadium position such that the cushion (16) and back (20) are in a substantially upright position so that an area behind the seat is easily accessible. The seat may be set in a "fold flat" position, see Fig 6, wherein the backrest is substantially horizontal and the seat squab is vertical. The backrest may recline in a conventional means. Locking means (78,80) may be provided on the seat squab and/or on the backrest to prevent movement. A linkage (70) may be provided to urge the seat squab to an upright position as the backrest is slid forewards. |
