PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a wheel disk made of aluminum alloy. SOLUTION: Aluminum alloy material is formed into a plate member by a press machine according to the cross sectional shape of the wheel disk. Circular arc shape edges are formed in the neighborhood of both ends of the plate member by carrying out pre-bending. One end of the plate member is inserted between an upper main driving roller and a lower main driving roller among bending rollers. The cross sectional shape of the outer edge of the main driving rollers is the same as the cross sectional shape of the inner edge and the outer edge of the wheel disk. When the plate member is gripped by the main driving rollers and is reciprocated in the longitudinal direction, two auxiliary rollers among the bending rollers approach to both ends of the upper main driving roller. Because the outer peripheral cross sectional shapes of the two auxiliary rollers are the same as the outer peripheral cross sectional shape of the wheel disk, the plate member is pressed against the auxiliary rollers, and is successively bent along the circular arc formed by the main driving rollers and the auxiliary rollers into the shape of the wheel disk. A partially fabricated product of the wheel disk made of aluminum alloy is completed by welding the joint portion formed by butting both ends of the plate member. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
