PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce burden of a driver to contribute to safe running of a vehicle, even when the vehicle runs at a place requiring performing determination processing in various items, by properly providing information for determining a proper vehicle speed, corresponding to the road conditions and the steering angle of steering with respect to the driver. SOLUTION: A navigation system includes a storage means for storing map data, a display part for displaying information, a vehicle speed sensor 13 for sensing the vehicle speed, and a control part for displaying display shape of a road section on the display part, by determining the display shape of the road section forward in the advancing direction, on the basis of the map data and the vehicle speed.
