摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To two-dimensionally transfer a polymer bead 52 in a surface orthogonal to a pair of electrodes (22, 24) in one object transfer apparatus. SOLUTION: In the object transfer apparatus, a lower side electrode 22, a lower side rubbing layer 32, a nematic liquid crystal layer 42, an upper side rubbing layer 34 and an upper side electrode 24 are successively disposed, rubbing directions (32b, 34b) of the lower side rubbing layer 32 and the upper side rubbing layer 34, respectively, are adjusted so as to be orthogonal to each other and the polymer bead 52 disposed so as to be transferable in the nematic liquid crystal layer 42 is transferred between positions close to the lower and upper rubbing layers 32 and 34 by the polarity of applied square wave voltage.
