<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase change recording material which enables erasure of a record on a medium for high-speed recording, a recording medium having a doubled recording layer, or the like, excels in recording signal characteristics such as reflectance and signal amplitude and shows a high storage stability of a recording signal, and an information recording medium using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The phase change recording material is constituted mainly of a composition expressed by general formula (Bi<SB>x</SB>Sn<SB>1-x</SB>)y(Ge<SB>z</SB>Te<SB>1-z</SB>)<SB>1-y</SB>(wherein, x, y, z denoting atomicity ratios satisfy 0<x<1, 0<y≤0.4, 0.2≤z≤0.5). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
