PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk playback device in which a parental level changing screen is displayed by the key operation of a specific procedure of a user in changing a parental level, and which has a highly accurate parental function by disabling persons other than the user to change a parental level. SOLUTION: In the optical disk playback device, a key function is changed so that keys other than a power source key can be used temporarily as keys for changing a parental level at turn-on of power of the first time or at turn-on of power of not the first time. Key information obtained by pressing down keys which are selected in the specific procedure in a state that this key function is changed is stored in a memory. At the time of changing the parental level, when key information obtained by pressing down the selected keys in the specific procedure coincides with the key information stored in the memory, the parental level changing screen is displayed on a display device.
