<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of potential shift because hydrogen and oxygen do not become a mixed state in a fuel gas flow passage as the fuel gas moves into a suction tank and does not remain in the fuel gas flow passage, when the fuel gas flow passage is decompressed and the air is rapidly introduced when stopping the operation by installing the suction tank at a fuel exhaust tube passage to exhaust the fuel gas from the fuel gas flow passage. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system comprises a fuel cell stack in which a fuel cell pinching an electrolyte layer by a fuel electrode and an oxygen electrode is laminated while pinching a separator in which the fuel gas flow passage is formed along the fuel electrode, a fuel supply tube passage connected with the inlet of the fuel gas flow passage, an air introducing device connected with the fuel supply tube passage, a fuel exhaust tube passage connected with the exit of the fuel gas flow passage, a pump to be installed at the fuel exhaust control passage and to suction the fuel gas from the fuel gas flow passage, and a suction tank which is installed at the fuel exhaust tube passage and houses the air introduced into the fuel gas flow passage through the air introducing device by suction of the pump. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
