<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide radio communication equipment automatically reducing power consumption by transferring a state to a power saving state even under a condition not necessarily requiring a wide band and low latency. <P>SOLUTION: A power saving determination section 109 involves: reading the present brightness from a photosensor 108 measuring surrounding brightness at a place installing the radio communication equipment 100; and outputting a power saving transfer signal when the brightness is below a specified value, for example, m10(lx) or below. Furthermore, a power saving suspension signal is outputted to an MAC (Media Access Control) processing section 104 and an RF (Radio Frequency) amplifier 107 when illuminance from the photosensor section 108 is higher than a specified value, for example, higher than 10 (lx) while generating the power saving transfer signal.
