PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building panel mounting structure constructed by mounting building panels on a wall surface, wherein the structure can adequately prevent infiltration of ultraviolet rays and water, invasion of ants, etc. from a joint portion between the building panels, into a building. SOLUTION: The building panel mounting structure is constructed by mounting the building panels 2 on the wall surface 1, which building panels 2 each have a core layer 2A, and a front surface layer 2B laminated on a front surface of the core layer 2A, and expose the core layer 2A from at least one end face 2a thereof. According to the structure, the building panels 2, 2 are arranged on the wall surface such that the core layer exposed end faces 2a, 2a face each other across a gap therebetween. Then the gap between the core layer exposed end faces 2a, 2a is filled with a sealing material 3 which is also overlaid on building panel front surface ends along the core layer exposed end faces 2a, 2a, and bonded to the same. This structure can adequately prevent intrusion of ultraviolet rays and water, invasion of insects, etc., from the joint portion between the building panels, and therefore the core layer 2A exposed to the end face 2a of the building panel is free from deterioration by ultraviolet rays, water, insects, etc., to thereby prevent degradation of the core layer performance including mounting strength and heat insulation properties, due to the deterioration of the core layer 2A.
