PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish a lightweight construction of the whole side door by enabling an inner panel to be constructed of resin while the stiffness and strength required for a side door are well secured. SOLUTION: The side door for a vehicle is chiefly composed of a door frame 10, an outer panel 20, and the inner panel 30, and the constituent members on the side with the door frame 10 and the outer panel 20 are made of metal while constituent members on the side with the inner panel 30 are made of resin. The side with the outer panel 20 is furnished with a door check mounting member 22 to receive the stopper load of the side door. The ends of a door belt line member 12 installed on the lower edge of a released part of the door frame 10 are coupled with the door frame 10. An upper hinge mounting member 16 is coupled with the front end part of the door belt line member 12, while a lock mounting member 18 is coupled with the rear end part of the door belt line member 12.
