PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the shock even when the front and rear vehicles collide together or the vehicle collides with the other structure in a rolling stock traveling at high speed. SOLUTION: The vehicle body 5 of the rolling stock 1 has an underframe 6, and the corner part 10 of the tip end part of the underframe is chamfered. The guide surface 11 formed by the chamfering is inclined so as to increase the width of the underframe 6 at the predetermined sweep back angleθfrom the front side of the advancing direction of the rolling stock 1 toward the rear side, and the guide surface 11 receives the other vehicle or the structure in case of collision.
