The item of furniture (10) has a head support (24), which is erected with increasing inclination of the back rest (14). The back rest has a pivot fixture (18), enabling it to pivot backwards and forwards, the inclination of the back rest increasing with backward pivoting. With a pivot joint (22), the head support is brought into an upper area of the back rest. The item of furniture has a pivot lever gear (16,20,28,30) driven from the back rest and the head support is pivoted upwards with the inclination of the back rest. |
