<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure the attracting operation and improve productivity by stabilizing attracting operation of electronic component at the connector of accommodation tapes. <P>SOLUTION: When the CPU110 of the electronic component loading apparatus 1 determines that operation is started again after a new accommodation tape C is connected to an old tape C, the tape feed instructing signal issued by the CPU110 exists, and the connector is detected with a connector detecting apparatus 102, arrival of the connector at the loading position is checked. Moreover, the CPU110 determines whether the connector reaches the attracting position of an electronic component or not.
